This website is run by Paul D'Ambra Marketing Consultant (ABN 77 240 813 694), an independent marketing consultant based in Epping, Sydney NSW 2121. In this policy, "I", "me" and "my" means Paul D'Ambra Marketing Consultant.
I handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. For clients in New Zealand, I also follow the Privacy Act 2020 (NZ).
If you have any questions about this policy, email ask@pauldambra.com or call 0414 442 440.
Depending on how you deal with me, I may collect:
I don't ask for sensitive information (such as health, racial or religious information) and ask that you don't send it to me.
Most information comes directly from you: when you call or email me, book a discovery session, fill in a form on this website, or work with me on a project.
Some information is collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies when you use this website (see below). I may also receive your details from someone who refers you to me, or use publicly available business information such as your website, Google Business Profile or LinkedIn page.
This website uses cookies and similar tools to understand how visitors use the site and to measure and improve my advertising. These include:
These tools don't tell me who you are unless you separately give me your details, for example by sending an enquiry.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as intended. You can also opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on, manage Google ad personalisation in My Ad Center, and control LinkedIn ad preferences in your LinkedIn settings. Microsoft explains how Clarity uses data in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
I use personal information to:
I won't use your information for an unrelated purpose without your consent, unless the law allows or requires it.
I don't sell, rent or trade your personal information.
I work alone, so your information isn't passed to staff or junior consultants. I share it only where needed with:
I expect these providers to protect your information and only use it to provide their services.
Some of the providers I use, including Google, Microsoft, LinkedIn and Meta, store and process data outside Australia, mainly in the United States and other countries where they run data centres. Your information may be handled overseas by these providers under their own privacy policies.
Information you share about your business, including marketing briefs, results, customer data and account access, is treated as confidential. I use it only to deliver your work and I don't share it with other clients.
Ad, analytics and website accounts I set up for you stay in your name. At the end of an engagement, or any time you ask, you can remove my access to your accounts.
Results are only published on this website as case studies with the client's agreement.
If you're a client or you've contacted me, I may email you about your work or about services that may be relevant to you. I only send marketing emails where I have your consent or where the Spam Act 2003 (Cth) otherwise allows, and every marketing email includes a way to unsubscribe. You can also ask me to stop at any time by emailing ask@pauldambra.com.
I take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, including password-protected accounts, two-factor authentication where available, and an encrypted (HTTPS) website.
I keep information only for as long as I need it for the purposes above, or as required by law. For example, business and tax records are kept for at least five years in line with Australian Taxation Office requirements. When information is no longer needed, I delete or de-identify it.
No method of storing or sending information online is completely secure. If a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, I will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
You can ask to see the personal information I hold about you, or ask me to correct or delete it, by emailing ask@pauldambra.com. I'll respond within 30 days. If I can't give you access or make a change, for example because I'm legally required to keep a record, I'll explain why.
You can make general enquiries anonymously or under a pseudonym, but I'll need your real details to quote for or work with you.
If you think I've mishandled your personal information, please email ask@pauldambra.com with the details. I'll look into it and respond within 30 days.
If you're not satisfied with my response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992. New Zealand residents can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
I may update this policy from time to time, for example when I start using a new tool. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated at the top.
